PINNED POST (Samuel 16)

**And so (Prophet) Samuel stopped praying for King Saul because Saul repeatedly disobeyed God’s commands and rejected God’s guidance.**

“But the Spirit of the Lord departed from King Saul, and an evil spirit from the Lord troubled him. And Saul’s servants said unto him, behold now, an evil spirit from God troubleth thee.”

“Be the light in this world, if you are only brave to see it, if you are only brave to be it” (Amanda Gorman, American Poet)

“There is no morality in this world”. You are completely correct. To many, “morality” is often seen as a “social construct” without objective validity, which suggests it shouldn’t dictate behavior.

We don’t have any religious zealots here; however, we respectfully disagree with the above viewpoint. As long as there is even one faithful Christian in the world, he/she will boldly challenge and resist the forces of evil. Christian theology teaches that the world is in a fallen state and is influenced by evil, which includes immorality and corruption, as noted in: 1 John 5:19. This understanding indicates that systems and structures of power, wealth, and influence can become corrupted, often prioritizing self-interest and worldly gain over moral values.

The idea that all authority comes from God, even (and especially) that of evil rulers, is a core concept in Christian theology, particularly in the interpretation of Romans 13.

“The government you elect is the government you deserve.” (It’s also attributed to Thomas Jefferson, U.S. Founding Father)

The Book of Ruth, The Bible. Old Testament. Ruth was a refugee (A Moabite/Jordanian) and the ancestress of Yeshua.

The ancestors of Yeshua, the Messiah, included both Rahab (harlot) and Ruth (refugee) who were women with significant backgrounds and experiences that were not typical for the time.

Israelite Boaz married Ruth, and she became the mother of Jesse, and the great-grandmother of King David. The genealogy presented in Matthew’s Gospel indicates that Jesus is the 14th generation after the house of King David.
