The teamwork between teachers and students led to the first universities, such as those in Bologna and Paris. We all know the big names from the Enlightenment and philosophy—Kafka, Sartre, Camus, Nietzsche, Descartes, Kant, Heidegger, Foucault, Voltaire, Rousseau, Locke, Thomas More, and so on. But theologians point out that even though these thinkers had some deep takes, their conversations focus on material concerns or primarily figuring out existence, missing that spiritual layer.
